About these terms

These terms govern your use of captaincleo.com and the games on it, operated by Eternal Raine Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16505815, registered office 1 Bluebell Drive, Lower Stondon, Henlow SG16 6NN. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who the service is for

Captain Cleo is made for children to use with a parent or guardian. If you are under 18, please use it with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf.

Using the site fairly

• Please do not misuse the site: no attempting to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to it, and no scraping, copying or reselling its content.
• Please do not use it for anything unlawful or harmful.

Our content and characters

The games, the Captain Cleo character and all other characters, the artwork, the sound, the educational content and curriculum, and the software that runs them are original works owned by Eternal Raine Ltd. You may play them for personal, family use. They may not be copied, reproduced, adapted, redistributed, published, resold or commercially exploited, in whole or in part, and you may not create derivative works from them, without our written permission.

Free play now, subscriptions later

While we are building accounts and checkout, the games are free to play and nothing is charged. When subscriptions open, the plans, prices and full subscription terms will be presented clearly at checkout, and those terms will apply to any purchase you make then. Any founding-family or waiting-list offer is subject to the specific terms shown at the time it is offered.

Trial and refunds

When subscriptions launch, our intended terms are a 5-day free trial with no card required, and a 30-day no-questions refund after purchase. The exact, binding terms will be the ones shown to you at checkout. While the games are free, there is nothing to be charged or refunded.

Educational content, not advice

Captain Cleo teaches money and other subjects for learning and enjoyment. It is not financial, legal or professional advice, and we do not guarantee any particular result or outcome from using it.

Our responsibility to you

We work hard to keep the site available and safe, but we provide it "as is" and cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under law that cannot be excluded.

Changes

We may update the games, the site and these terms as the product grows. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction.
